Islam is faith of knowledge. In the first revelation sent upon the Holy Prophet (saw) only 'reading' was mentioned. That is why, the Arab nation, mired in the thick darkness of ignorance, became the most civilized and cultured nation of the world through acquisition of knowledge in a period of a few decades by acting upon this universal message of Islam. It established its rule upon others. As long as Muslims acted upon this message, they held sway over the world. When they abandoned the mantle of knowledge, humiliation and disgrace was destined for them. Today we lag behind the rest of world because we are deficient in knowledge.

Launching his multi-dimensional mission twenty five years ago, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri laid the foundation of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and made special efforts in the field of thought and knowledge. He took up the responsibility to guide the Umma, condemned to decline, to regain its lost glory and height it once possessed. In order to spread the revolutionary message of the Qur`an and Sunna through pen, he published his book entitled as Nizam-e-Mustafa: a Revolutionary Message some thirty years ago. He has rendered valuable services in the form of his writings on contemporary, scholarly and intellectual subjects. So far more than 300 books written by him have been published dealing with such diverse subjects as the Qur`anic sciences, literature of Hadith, Islamic Jurisprudence, Sirah of the holy Prophet (saw), current affairs and ancient and modern subjects.

Minhaj-ul-Quran International has also played a leading role in the use of modern technology along with its services in the field of knowledge and intellect. When internet was introduced in Pakistan some 13 years ago, it is the first Islamic Movement of Pakistan that established its website not only for propagation of its message but also for responding to anti-Islam propaganda. But vested interests and those jealous of Minhaj-ul-Quran International did not like the progress made by the Movement in such a short span of time under the inspiring leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam. They launched the baseless propaganda campaign against the Movement and its founder Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri by throwing mud on him on various discussion forums of internet and websites.
